See Ya Paul 'n' Sandra

See Ya Paul 'n' Sandra

It was the fairwell party for Paul and Sandra tonight, my aunty and uncle. I made the mistake of trying to wear a newish t-shirt that seems to have shrunk in the wash... it could have almost passed for a crop top.

Anyway, I proped up the bar with Ric and Will for most of the night and sadly I forgot to say goodbye to Paul and Sandra before they went "Sorry guys!" I was bundle off into a taxi; drunk and wisked away before I knew what was going on.

I'm sure I'll hear from you both soon no doubt!

Popped around to Will's for some after party drink's, where I promptly slumped on the floor after taking some photo's.

The Late Shift

The Late Shift

Oh dear, tonight was going oh so well till we took a phone call at the pub...

Me & The Hodge was out for a couple of super strength Moonraker beer's tonight at the Rain bar near Oxford Road, when we received a phone call from work asking us to come back! An "urgent" publish had to be made to one of the Web site's so it was down to us to make it happen.

Anyway on our return we ended up being in the office till 8.30pm on a Friday night! How grim. Turns out after all the faffing around with ICT we didn't need to be there for all that time after all. It was lucky we'd bought a couple of cans with us to drink while we sat around in the office doing nothing.

Anyway, I took some shots of the empty bank while I was bored, I found it pretty weird not seeing any people around in the offices.

Up In The Sky: Part 2

Up In The Sky: Part 2

Was up at the top of the CIS tower again today, having a nosey around to see what we could find... took a few more pictures out of the window, which are slightly better than last time.

Also while on one of the top floors we stumbled across ultra-posh toilets... it was fully kitted out like a real bathroom, shower, with proper towels and marble finish sinks! Classy.

New Feature: The Beer Log

Tuesday 19th Jul 2005 - Posted By: Ste Riley at 07:55PM

I've decided I'm going to add a new feature to the site, basically it'll be a pictogram of some kind to indicate the amount of beer I am currently drinking (as it seems to be a lot), the chart will visually represent the amount of beer I am currently shifting through.

UPDATE: Here is the version I've quickly cobbled together tonight, shockingly I've already drunk 40.5 units almost double the recommended weekly amount since Thursday and I've not even been on a proper night out this weekend.

Snotted Out

Saturday 9th Jul 2005 - Posted By: Ste Riley at 07:45PM

Bah, I have a cold and I was planning on going out tonight!

Anyway, spent the whole afternoon in Manchester shopping, but in my condition I wasn't in the mood for buying anything.

To add insult to injury, when we was about to head back home Piccadilly train station, where the car was parked was closed by the police due to a bomb alert. We had to wait for 3 hours with nothing to do while they checked the place was safe.

The only option was to go for a sly drink in the nearest pub.

100 Day's of Creativity

Wednesday 6th Jul 2005 - Posted By: Ste Riley at 07:36PM

We've just completed 100 days of creative change through the marketing department at work and to celebrate we was awarded an afternoon session of 2 free drinks and a barbeque.

One exception their was a lot more free drink vouchers than people and they was soon being dealt around tightly grouped gangs like illegal contraband. Anyway, I'd managed to get my hands on enough to get me pretty tipsy.

As a bonus I also won a giant Jenga set, which I promptly sold to some women for 4 more drinks vouchers. Once the bar shut and the drinks vouchers expired, we hit the Tequila Slammers then headed for another bar to drink more.

Needless to say I was pretty drunk at the end of the night but a good time was had by all!

Coldplay: I'm On MTV

Monday 4th Jul 2005 - Posted By: Ste Riley at 08:11PM

Coldplay: I'm On MTV

After Saturday's thunderous performance by Oasis, Coldplay was always going to seem like second best.

We got to the gig fairly early and headed for a nearby pub which I soon left completely pissed off for the fact they would only serve people stood next to the till! What kind of bar staffing is that? They don't deserve to serve me Stella the imbeciles.

Anyway, we stood in the rain and watched Elbow for a while and jockeyed into a good position near the front to catch Coldplay. The highlight of the show being the last song they played 'Fix You' which they played twice so they could film it for their next music video.

So keep an eye out for me on the video, I'm near the front, near a person with a yellow umbrella. I then got robbed £15 for a program on the way out, I thought £8 was steep at Oasis.

I've also just noticed that the pictures I've taken are of abysmal quality... I really need a new phone, any suggestions?

Oasis: Turn It Down To 9 & Half

Sunday 3rd Jul 2005 - Posted By: Ste Riley at 12:18PM

Oasis: Turn It Down To 9 & Half

Oasis - The City of Manchester Stadium 2nd July 2005: A master class performance from start to finish.

The band came on stage at 9 and the crowd went wild, Noel warned to calm it down a bit, however we all got a bit to excited and the barrier broke at the front, halting the show for 25 minutes. The band stayed on stage and informed us all of the progress at the front, while on the big screen the girls in the crowd got their tits out to pass the time!

Once the barrier was fixed, the band flew into Turn Up The Sun & Lyla, after that, Noel warned again to "turn it down to 9 and a half". Liam disagreed and went over for a harsh word with Noel, it got a bit heated and Noel didn't say much else for the remainder of the show.

However, everyone was still treated to one of the best Oasis shows in years. Personal highlights 'Turn Up The Sun', 'A Bell Will Ring', 'Rock 'n' Roll Star' and 'Meaning of Soul'. I wanna do it all over again!
