Funky New Search Engine
Friday 26th May 2006 - Posted By: Ste Riley at 09:41AM
I came across the new search engine this morning, Snap.com it uses the latest web buzz word AJAX to give you results while you are typing in your search term. Once you submit your search you can view thumbnails of all the sites displayed in the results.
Pretty cool, the future of search or an accessibility nightmare?
Manchesters Nuclear Bunkers

I've always suspected for a long time that the CIS Tower leads to an underground nuclear bunker in Piccadilly Gardens. Crazy you might think, but such underground networks do exist in Manchester city centre.
As part of the Cold-War legacy, deep beneath the Mancunian streets lies the Guardian, read all about it: Cold-War History in Manchester
Job Hunting
Tuesday 23rd May 2006 - Posted By: Ste Riley at 10:01AM
I've started looking out for a change of employment, hopefully I can find a Web Development position in the city centre again because it's great for lunchtimes and for travelling.
I have applied for 4 different positions in the last week, however I noticed I've not had any replies back from the agencies. I'm not sure if it's this last section of the CV I've been sending out give's the wrong impression:
"I aim to have drunk at every pub within Manchester within the next 12 months; pubs serving Stella Artois and/or a selection of good pies score highly and may require more than one visit."
I do like a good pie and a pint though, maybe I need to make some alterations if I'm going to be more successful?
Do I Look Good On The Dancefloor?
Thursday 4th May 2006 - Posted By: Ste Riley at 09:15AM
I added a new feature on the left hand panel generated off some XML last night, that shows the last 10 tracks I've been listening to. I came across Last.fm while looking at someone else's blog yesterday and decided I'd give it a spin myself. Check it out if you don't know what its all about its a really cool site for music lovers.
I've added plugin's to my WinAmp & iTunes so everytime I listen to a track on my home PC it'll automatically update here and compile a chart of my favourite tunes on my profile page. So you'll be able to see how many time's I boogie on down to the likes of Girls Aloud and the Spice Girls.
It's meant to be the warmest day of the year today but looking out the window here in Castle Grayskull casts a dull grey picture. My ForecastFox report say's it's going to chuck it down this afternoon as well... Where are you sunshine!!!
